A spinning laser turret (LDS — Laser Distance Sensor) measures distances hundreds of times per second and builds a map of your rooms. The robot then cleans in ordered rows, knows where it has been, and returns to the dock to recharge and resume where it stopped. Random-path robots cover the same spot several times and miss corners entirely — mapping is the difference between a toy and a tool.
After each run, the dock sucks the contents of the robot's small internal bin into its 3-liter dust bag. The robot's bin holds one session's worth of dust; the dock holds weeks. The daily chore of a regular robot vacuum — opening it, shaking the bin over a trash can, breathing the dust cloud — disappears.
With the water tank and mop plate attached, the robot vacuums debris and wipes hard floors behind it in one pass. It's maintenance mopping — dust film and light marks between deep cleans — not a replacement for scrubbing a dried stain. The suction handles the heavy part: grit, crumbs, and pet hair out of carpet pile.
The bag holds 3 liters. How fast it fills depends on home size, pets and cleaning frequency — for a typical apartment with daily runs, expect weeks between empties rather than days.
Yes — it has the highest suction in the Teendow robot range, and the self-empty dock matters even more with pets, because hair fills a small internal bin quickly. If you want a dedicated pet accessory kit, look at the D20S MAX+ Pet.
It connects over Wi-Fi to the manufacturer's app, where you see the map, set schedules, no-go zones and room-by-room cleaning. It also answers to voice assistants for start/stop/dock commands.
